Social, Legal, and Ethical Issues
Students
must realize and plan for issues involving social, legal, and ethical issues in
technology. This includes development of a classroom Acceptable Users Policy
(AUP) and teaching students about copyright laws and regulations.
14.1 Establish classroom policies and
procedures that ensure compliance with copyright law, fair-use guidelines,
security and child protection.
Students must be introduced to all rules
and regulations
regarding the internet and other means of technology.

14.2 Ensure equal access to media and technology
resources for all students
All
students at AVMS are familiar with the computer and the World Wide Web. Most of the teachers reserve the computer lab
at least once per month.

to technology use (Demonstrate knowledge and integration of network security
and Acceptable Use Policy into teaching).
Students must understand that the
internet is a helpful tool if used properly.
It can also be very harmful if used
improperly.

the "do's and dont's" of internet use.
